Axis Bank statement password
Axis Bank gives one password and one alternative for its e-statements. Here they are in Axis’s own words, and where Axis leaves things unsaid.
Short answer
Axis Bank gives a password and an alternative one for its e-statements, on the same help page:
- E-statement (Axis’s help page)Four letters of your name in CAPITALS, as it appears on your account statement (ignore spaces and full stops), and four digits of your date of birth.
- E-statement, the alternative passwordFour letters of your name in CAPITALS, as it appears on your account statement (ignore spaces and full stops), and the nine digits of your Customer ID.
Not on Axis Bank’s site, so not here either: A separate rule for savings account statements. We don’t guess passwords.

Which password is yours?
Axis gives both on one help page: the first with your birth date, the alternative with your Customer ID.
| Your statement | Password | Example |
|---|---|---|
| E-statement (Axis’s help page) | Four letters of your name in CAPITALS, as it appears on your account statement (ignore spaces and full stops), and four digits of your date of birth. | — |
| E-statement, the alternative password | Four letters of your name in CAPITALS, as it appears on your account statement (ignore spaces and full stops), and the nine digits of your Customer ID. | — |
| A separate rule for savings account statements | Axis lists the rule above on its help page for credit card e-statements, though the rule itself talks about your name “as it appears on your Account Statement”. Axis’s savings account statement help page doesn’t give a password at all. | |

The password, piece by piece
Each box is one character, as on a bank form. Axis Bank doesn’t say exactly which letters and digits, so the boxes show the shape and the question marks stay.
E-statement (Axis’s help page)
1 of 2
Four letters of your name in CAPITALS, as it appears on your account statement (ignore spaces and full stops), and four digits of your date of birth.
- Four letters of your name, in capitals, as it appears on your statement
- Four digits of your date of birth
No exampleAxis gives no example, and its wording doesn’t say which four letters or which four digits, so we don’t make one up.
E-statement, the alternative password
2 of 2
Four letters of your name in CAPITALS, as it appears on your account statement (ignore spaces and full stops), and the nine digits of your Customer ID.
- Four letters of your name, in capitals, as it appears on your statement
- The nine digits of your Customer ID
No exampleAxis gives no example for this one either.
In Axis Bank’s words
“Your password is a combination of four letters of your name in UPPER CASE (as it appears on your Account Statement (Ignore spaces and periods, if any) and four digits of your date of birth”
Open it and convert it, right here
Drop the locked PDF in the box. When it asks, type the password. The statement opens inside this browser tab and comes out as Excel or CSV (or, with a free account, as a file for Tally), with every row checked against the statement’s own balances.
The PDF and the password stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and you can check that yourself in your browser’s Network tab.
Not tested on an Axis statement yet
We haven’t had a real Axis Bank statement to test with. The converter checks every statement the same way: if the rows don’t add up to the closing balance, it tells you before you download anything.
Still won’t open?
Go down this list before you call the bank. Most locked-out moments are one of these.
- Try the alternative. Axis gives a second password that uses your nine-digit Customer ID instead of your birth date.
- Type it, don’t paste it. A pasted password can carry a space at the start or end, and PDF readers count it.
- Capitals matter. Axis says the letters are in UPPER CASE. Check Caps Lock.
- Two digits each. Day and month always take two digits: the 5th of March is 0503 as DDMM. Use the date of birth the bank has on record.
- Download it again. A statement that didn’t finish downloading, or was forwarded and re-saved, can refuse every password. Get a fresh copy from the bank.
- Ask Axis Bank. Banks change these rules. We checked Axis’s on 6 October 2026; if what we show no longer works, the bank can tell you, and we’d like to hear too so we can fix this page.

Questions
Which four letters of my name, and which four digits of my birth date?
Axis’s page doesn’t say. It says “four letters of your name in UPPER CASE” and “four digits of your date of birth”, nothing more. We won’t guess for you. If you can’t open it, Axis’s help page has Chat, Call and Branch buttons.
Where is my nine-digit Axis Customer ID?
Axis asks for it, with your registered mobile number, when you request a statement on its support site, so it is worth finding once. Axis’s help pages offer Chat, Call and Branch if you don’t have it to hand.
Do spaces and full stops in my name count?
No. Axis says to ignore spaces and periods in your name as it appears on your account statement.
