Union Bank of India statement password
Union Bank doesn’t publish its statement password, so we tested it on a real statement. Four capital letters, four digits, and the file opens.
Short answer
The first four letters of your name in CAPITALS, then your date of birth as DDMM.

The Union Bank statement password
The first four letters of your name in CAPITALS, then your date of birth as DDMM. Union Bank of India doesn’t publish this rule; we confirmed it by opening a real statement Union Bank emailed.
| Your statement | Password | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Statement emailed by Union Bank | The first four letters of your name in CAPITALS, then your date of birth as DDMM. | PRIY0503 |
Union Bank of India doesn’t publish its statement password, as far as we could find on its website and support accounts. These rules come from our own test: we opened a real statement Union Bank emailed, in October 2026.
The password, piece by piece
Each box is one character, as on a bank form. Open “Work out yours” under a password to type your own details: the boxes fill in with your password, right here in the page.

How we know
We opened a real Union Bank of India statement that the bank emailed, with the first four letters of the account holder’s name in capitals followed by their date of birth as DDMM.
We tested statements the bank emailed. A statement you download from net banking or the app may use a different password; if yours won’t open, ask Union Bank, and please tell us so we can add it.
Open it and convert it, right here
Drop the locked PDF in the box. When it asks, type the password. The statement opens inside this browser tab and comes out as Excel or CSV (or, with a free account, as a file for Tally), with every row checked against the statement’s own balances.
The PDF and the password stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded, and you can check that yourself in your browser’s Network tab.
Not tested on a Union Bank statement yet
We haven’t had a real Union Bank of India statement to test with. The converter checks every statement the same way: if the rows don’t add up to the closing balance, it tells you before you download anything.
Still won’t open?
Go down this list before you call the bank. Most locked-out moments are one of these.
- Type it, don’t paste it. A pasted password can carry a space at the start or end, and PDF readers count it.
- Capitals matter. Union Bank of India says the letters are in capitals, and PDF passwords are case sensitive. Check Caps Lock.
- Two digits each. Day and month always take two digits: the 5th of March is 0503 as DDMM. Use the date of birth the bank has on record.
- Emailed, or downloaded? What we show opened statements Union Bank emailed. If you downloaded yours from net banking or the app, it may use a different password.
- Download it again. A statement that didn’t finish downloading, or was forwarded and re-saved, can refuse every password. Get a fresh copy from the bank.
- Ask Union Bank of India. Banks change these rules. We checked Union Bank’s on 7 October 2026; if what we show no longer works, the bank can tell you, and we’d like to hear too so we can fix this page.
Getting a Union Bank statement
The ways Union Bank of India describes on its own site. Each one gives you the same locked PDF.
Union Bank’s VYOM app
- Tap Account, then Statement.
- Choose the date range.
- Tap PDF Download, or Email Statement to have it emailed. A downloaded PDF goes to your phone’s Downloads folder.
Questions
Does Union Bank publish this password?
Not that we could find, on its website or its support account. We tested the rule ourselves on a real statement Union Bank emailed, and it opened. If yours came another way, say downloaded from net banking or VYOM, and it doesn’t open, ask Union Bank: it may use a different password there.
Capitals or lowercase?
Capitals for the letters. A made-up Priya Sharma born on 5 March would type PRIY0503.
Do I add a zero to a one-digit day or month?
Yes. DDMM always has four digits: 5 March is 0503, 11 June is 1106.
